Contacting & Visiting

We offer a variety of learning sessions for pupils and young people, as well as training days for teachers.

You can discuss your needs when you contact the Library. Some of the courses may be offered on specific days only. Others are available to suit your visit. Generally, we aim to be flexible, tailoring your visit to meet your needs.

We welcome enquiries from groups of families, or home educators who would like to visit as a group. Groups who have individuals with special learning needs are welcome, and we will work with you to ensure that your visit is an enjoyable experience.

We have a colourful workbook to accompany visits. It is mainly suitable for children between 8 - 12 years old, for formal or informal visits around the public areas of the Library. It contains tasks of observation, expressing opinion, art and literacy, as well as ideas for projects to be followed up at home or in school. If you would like a sample copy, email us on dysgle@llgc.org.uk

Sessions for Teachers

The Education Rooms consist of two pleasant and flexible areas, where groups may congregate and spend some of their visit.
These include practical spaces for leaving coats and bags, eating packed lunches, making things and enjoying different kinds of learning sessons.
